Banana, Peanut Butter & Cinnamon Smoothie
Not being a breakfast person and trying to keep healthy is an almost impossible task. People always try to convince me that I should never skip breakfast but it’s quite hard when your body literally rejects heavy food before midday. I’ve been like this for as long as I can remember. The only time I remember force-feeding myself breakfast was when I stayed in res in varsity because I knew that my next meal would be something bought with a meal voucher on campus – the same meal voucher that I could trade for cash to buy booze during the weekend. So breakfast was a matter of self-preservation :)
But in my adulthood I’ve just always struggled. One of the tricks I’ve developed is smoothies. I’ve discovered that this is a breakfast option that doesn’t equate for being force-fed.
